About Me

I’m Diógenes Hernández, a Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in digital environments. Since 2023, I’ve been leading as Web & Digital Infrastructure Managercoordinating a team responsible for website updates, SEO optimization, site migrations, new feature releases, conversion improvements, and Microsoft 365 and Exchange operations.

Previously, from 2013 and for nearly a decade, I worked as an Email Deliverability Manager, overseeing IP reputation and email deliverability.

I’ve also worked as a developer using PHP, C#, and Visual Basic, and have strong knowledge of HTML and JavaScript. Additionally, I’ve built databases in SQL and MySQL.

Live And Invest Overseas 2014 – Today

As a Web/IT Manager, I oversee the performance, functionality, and user experience of multiple websites for a subscription-based company. My responsibilities include ensuring the websites reflect current marketing offers, optimizing user experience, improving conversion rates, and coordinating backend development efforts with my team.

In addition to web management, I handle department budgeting, renew essential services, and troubleshoot hosting issues with AWS providers. I also support internal SEO efforts, collaborating with our specialist to grow traffic and enhance visibility. Beyond web duties, I manage IT-related tasks, such as hardware acquisition, computer troubleshooting, user access management across tools, and the development of internal reporting platforms.

WEB DEVELOPER

Banistmo (HSBC) 2013 – 2014

At Banistmo, I served as a consultant during the technical transition following HSBC's acquisition by Bancolombia. My focus was on maintaining and adapting the internal reporting systems for the finance department to align with Banistmo's operational standards, ensuring continuity throughout the migration process.

This experience honed my ability to adapt to large-scale organizational changes, manage critical deadlines, and develop solutions that preserved essential business functionality under pressure.

Reporting Systems Migration: Helped Reconfigure HSBC's legacy systems to meet Banistmo's new financial and reporting requirements.
Data Integrity: Collaborated on data cleaning and organization for seamless integration into Banistmo's infrastructure.

Data Support Services 2010 – 2013

As a Junior Web Developer, I was part of a dynamic team responsible for building and maintaining software solutions tailored to the wagering industry. I focused on designing, developing, and optimizing tools that streamlined internal operations and provided real-time data for businesses across Panama and Mexico.

Evaluation System (DSS ES): Created a tool for call center supervisors to evaluate agent performance, increasing efficiency in performance tracking.
Wagering Agents Reports (W.A.R): Designed a reporting tool for agents to access and manage their statistics, fostering better transparency and goal alignment.
